Submissions
At Patacon Press we are looking for stories that grip us from the first sentence, flash fiction tales capable of creating entire universes with few words.
Submissions Guidelines
We accept submissions from writers of any age or nationality.
Stories can be written in English, Spanish, or a mix of both.
Submitted stories must not have been published elsewhere. However, we do accept simultaneous submissions (stories under consideration by other publications).
Stories must be between 500 and 1500 words.
Stories must be entirely written by the author without the use of AI tools. AI-generated content will be disqualified.
Stories must be submitted by the author. Third-party submissions are not allowed.
To ensure fairness, stories must be submitted as a Word document without the author’s name and attached to the submission form.
In the submission form, you will be able to provide your name and contact information.
You may submit multiple stories, but each submission must be sent separately, as each piece will be evaluated individually.
Patacon Press does not charge a submission fee.
Patacon Press does not charge any fee to chosen authors at any point during the publication process.
At this time, we are unable to offer payment to selected authors, though we hope this will change in the future.
