About Us
Patacon Press is a Spanglish journal of flash fiction.
We are an independent editorial that publishes stories from emerging writers from around the world both in English and Spanish, in hope of becoming a bridge for great literature to overcome language barriers.
We are looking for unique and compelling stories capable of making us laugh, keeping us up at night, pulling our heartstrings, or that have the words that hit just right.

My name is Daniela, and I am the founder.
Patacon Press came to life in the midst of several journeys I made over the years between Colombia and England. It is a product of the bonds created during this adventure and, as such, it embraces and celebrates the richness of multiculturalism within literature.
Patacon Press reflects my desire to share stories that excite me: those rare and magical tales I’ve found in the shelves of a foreign library and devoured on a train bound to places unknown.
Through Patacon Press, I aim to bring those tales back home.
We are looking for texts written in English, Spanish, or a blend of both, with the goal of publishing bilingual editions that make these works accessible to both English and Spanish-speaking readers.
Our wish is to contribute to the internationalization of up-and-coming literature by making the work of talented emerging writers accessible to a broader public.
